EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL DOMINICAN EMPLOYEESTo support the University's mission of preparing students to pursue truth, to give compassionate service, and to participate in the creation of a more just and humane world.
PRIMARY PURPOSE // POSITION SUMMARYAssists the Technical Services Coordinator and the Technical Services Librarian with various acquisitions duties.
JOB COMPONENTS // PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Receives and processes library materials.
- Works on library maintenance projects, including weeding, pulling materials, and shelving.
- Repairs damaged library materials.
- Participates in library-wide outreach programs like book displays, culturally-enhancing programming, library programs, and other special events.
- Performs other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an academic library environment.
- Ability to make decisions, follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
- Eligible for employment in the United States.
- Enrolled at least part-time as a Dominican University undergraduate student in a degree-seeking program.
