OutreachOutreach is hiring a Full-time Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) at Outreach West Chicago (Puente del Pueblo) to support elementary-aged students in academic and life skills and provide ongoing supervision for Elementary program staff in programs at Wegner Elementary School and Indian Knoll Elementary School.
Benefits & Compensation- $60,000 - $66,000/annually. Rate based on education, experience, and language ability.

- The Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing supervision of the After-School and Summer Day School programs at Indian Knoll Elementary School and Wegner Elementary School which service elementary-aged students.
- The Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) is responsible for the academic improvement of the students enrolled in elementary programs at Puente del Pueblo.
- The Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) has responsibility for working with the Puente del Pueblo Education Team to work on program development for the programs.
- In addition, the Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) will have ongoing, regular contact with the schools and develop a working relationship with each of the parents of students assigned to his/her programs.
- The Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) will ensure that all volunteers in the after-school and summer programs are successfully matched to students to work on academic improvements and evaluations.
- The Elementary Program Director (Bilingual Preferred) will continue to work with all elementary program staff to find/develop curriculum and methods that creatively teach and engage the students from the neighborhood.
- Master’s degree in education, youth ministry, or a related field.
- 2-5 years previous classroom teaching or group experience with adolescents.
- Sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families and culturally diverse backgrounds.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Experience in volunteer recruitment and management.
- A Commitment to Outreach’s Statement of Mission and Faith is required, as well as attendance at Wheaton Bible Church.
