The Woodlawn Campus of the University of Chicago Charter School (UCW) opened in September 2006 and currently educates students in grades six through eight. The school assists students in developing the habits of mind, work, and heart to be successful in college and good citizens of their community.

This position will deliver ambitious art instruction that incorporates evidence-based analysis of practice to ensure all students can achieve at high levels. The ideal candidate will provide a stimulating, challenging, and productive learning environment.
Position Qualifications
The applicant should have a Bachelor's degree in education and appropriate state licensure, and at least 2 years of experience teaching art in a K-12 environment. The applicant should also have proven program planning and development experience and be an excellent teacher of students, reflective and receptive to professional feedback and coaching, and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year. The University of Chicago Charter School offers a wide range of benefits programs for eligible employees, including health, retirement, and paid time off.
