- Minimum Hourly Rate: $28.00/hr
- The Sergeant will conduct daily briefings, evaluate situations, and deploy manpower appropriately.
- Prepare and review reports on operations and activities.
- Provide support for officers responding to calls related to crimes, accidents, and disturbances.
- Review officers’ reports for thoroughness and accuracy.
- Conduct preliminary reports as necessary.
- Protect crime scenes and preserve physical evidence as needed.
- Provide general assistance and information to students, faculty and staff.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and 400 or more hours of certified police academy training from a recognized State of Illinois training facility.
- At least three years of experience as a Campus Safety officer or member of a certificated police department.
- Objectivity and the ability to give and receive feedback.
- Confidentiality in all matters is imperative.
- Experience as a Campus Safety officer or member of a certificated police department.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Full time certification by ILETSB.
Computer SkillsBasic keyboarding and ability to use or learn business software and law enforcement databases.
