Part-time Faculty Positions
DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach courses in various disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may submit their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Selected individuals will be contacted if they reach the finalist stage for teaching specific courses.
The pool remains active until the closing date specified in each posting; resubmission is required for continued interest beyond that date. All pool candidates will be notified via email when postings close.

ResponsibilitiesDePaul's Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media (CDM) is located in Chicago's Loop, the city's central business district. CDM values diversity and aims to recruit and maintain a diverse faculty. Part-time positions are available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. Course schedules vary quarterly, and the college will coordinate with selected individuals to determine schedules. Courses are not guaranteed but ample notice is provided about available courses.

Required Qualifications- Master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work, or an undergraduate degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience. Exceptions may be approved by the dean.

The Bachelor of Science in Game Programming trains students in programming fundamentals with an interdisciplinary focus on game development, including collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Areas include level design, game scripting, graphics, physics, AI, and more.
The Master of Science in Game Programming prepares students for high-level game programming careers, covering real-time computing, graphics, AI, animation, software engineering, and networking, with a focus on current industry trends and applied practice.
Additional InformationExceptions to standard rates may apply based on course specifics. The salary range is approximately $4,700 to $6,000 per course, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits information is available at .
DePaul operates primarily on a quarter system, with courses typically lasting 11 weeks, except for the College of Law, which follows a semester system.
