Part-time Faculty Positions

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part-Time Faculty to teach courses across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may submit their credentials to any relevant posting. The pool is ongoing, depending on curricular needs and funding. Candidates reaching the finalist stage will be contacted. The pool remains active until the specified closing date; resubmission is required to remain in the pool beyond that date.

College/School: Chicago, IL - Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media

DePaul's Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media (CDM) is located in Chicago's Loop. CDM values diversity and seeks to recruit and maintain a diverse faculty. Part-time teaching positions are available throughout the year, including summer sessions. Course schedules vary quarterly, and the college will coordinate with selected individuals to determine schedules. Courses are not guaranteed, but notice will be provided.

The School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Film and Television, Animation, Creative Producing, Documentary, and Screenwriting, on the Loop campus and at DePaul Cinespace Studios. More information is available at SCA website.

- Master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work, or an undergraduate degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience. Exceptions may be approved by the dean.

- An MFA degree in television with professional credits, festival screenings, or television contest successes is preferred.

- Demonstrated experience in teaching in diverse learning environments is required.

Compensation rates may vary for courses with special credit hours, labs, clinical/practicum components, coaching, administrative tasks, or enrollment fluctuations.

Estimated salary per course ranges from $4,700 to $6,000, based on qualifications and experience.
