Job Description:
The Program Support Specialist reports to the Director and Assistant Director for day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with planning and organizing activities to meet the goals of the School, including enrollment, staffing support, curriculum, and administration.
- Manage the School’s operating budget and prepare monthly reports on its status.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
- Support and observe in classrooms regularly.
- Assist management with onboarding and training new employees.
- Build positive staff-parent-school relationships during orientations and maintain these relationships ongoing.
- Create a supportive environment for staff and families.
- Plan and enhance community relations to increase awareness of The Goddard School and provide educational services to the public.
- Maintain records related to school administration, including health, enrollment, safety, and licensing, in accordance with state requirements.
- Participate in professional development activities such as training programs and conferences.
- Assist with applying for accreditations.
- Support classroom observations and continuous improvement of program quality and services.
- Assist with children transition communications and school-wide announcements regularly.
- Be flexible and adapt roles based on the changing needs of the school.
- Participate in school events during and outside standard business hours.
- Manage and budget for facility and classroom supplies regularly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a licensed childcare setting.
