STEM Educator for School-Year Field Trips
PositionSTEM Educator (Per Diem)
LocationDr. Martin Luther King Jr. Roller Skating, 1219 W 76th Street, Chicago, IL
Key Responsibilities- Work together to develop, refine, and present STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lesson plans for students from kindergarten to high school.
- Conduct groundbreaking, copyrighted STEM educational programs for groups ranging from 50 to 250 students, utilizing state‑of‑the‑art audio and video technology.
- An outgoing and animated personality
- A passion for education and STEM topics
- An engaging stage presence
- Creativity and a strong ability to improvise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Power Point
- A knack for relating STEM concepts to everyday life
- Experience in the STEM fields (a plus)
- Availability Monday to Friday during school hours (specific days and times will vary based on bookings)
- Reliable transportation
$90 per lesson taught, plus a competitive hourly rate for lesson preparation.
