Organization ProfileUpBeat Music & Arts is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit that was founded in 2013 to help youth reach their fullest potential through music and the arts. UpBeat believes economics should not be a barrier to music education, and the organization and its donors provide many scholarships to underserved youth every year. Their teachers are a passionate group who make a difference in the lives of each and every student – they are not only outstanding musicians, but relate to young people and their unique needs.
Individual and peer‑based small group learning environments help to facilitate social and emotional growth, while students learn the fundamentals of music performance and theory, gaining confidence and self‑esteem along the way. UpBeat currently employs 17 instructors and is excited to welcome more teachers to their team!
