Position Summary:

CJDS is seeking reliable and caring Part-Time Substitute Teachers to support classrooms in grades Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade. Substitutes will be called on an as-needed basis and will work in collaboration with teaching teams to ensure a smooth continuation of the classroom experience during teacher absences.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Prior experience working with children, ideally in a classroom setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to follow written lesson plans and support students in staying on task
• Flexibility and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Hebrew or Judaism is not required

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
• Monitor student behavior and support student learning
• Communicate any issues or updates to school leadership as needed

Schedule & Compensation:

• This is a part-time, on-call position with flexible scheduling based on school needs
• Compensation is offered at an hourly rate
