Job Description

As a Course Instructor, you will design, deliver, and assess marketing courses that meet the university’s learning outcomes and support students’ academic success.

Job Duties
  • Develop instructional materials aligned with learning objectives, course competencies, and instructional interventions to support student self‑service and virtual one‑to‑many events.
  • Provide effective, relevant, and engaging one‑to‑many virtual events aligned with learning objectives.
  • Continually develop knowledge, skills, and expertise through active participation in faculty learning communities and development opportunities.
  • Deliver proactive, relevant, timely, and effective one‑to‑one virtual instruction to students in a specific course or domain.
  • Facilitate student communities to support peer collaboration, effective faculty interaction, and student development.
  • Provide student‑centered one‑to‑one virtual coaching to help students achieve personal, academic, and career goals.
  • Adapt instructional and coaching practices to common and typical student needs.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

  • Strong knowledge of how student characteristics interact with different learning needs common to the course(s)/domain(s).

  • Ability to use information from student profiles, learning behaviors, and interactions to identify individual student needs.

  • Ability to facilitate synchronous student interaction in a virtual environment.
Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in marketing or a related field (Doctorate preferred). Education must be from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in higher‑education teaching marketing fundamentals and marketing management; preferably in an online distance‑based model.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor, helping at‑risk and struggling students using social‑emotional learning strategies.
  • Experience working in web‑based content delivery platforms such as Web Ex.
  • Ability to explain and disseminate difficult topics in a manner that students will understand and grasp.
