- Assists lead teacher(s) in three classrooms with all aspects of programming for children two to five years of age.
- Responsible for the safety and well-being of children in the program.
- Provides a safe, warm, nurturing and challenging environment where children are free to explore, learn and grow.
- Establishes positive, supportive and respectful relationships with children and their parents as well as with colleagues.
- Performs other duties as required.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with a minimum of six credit hours of early childhood education and/or development as well as one year of experience working with young children.
Qualifications- Undergraduate degree with a minimum of six credit hours of early childhood education.
- Minimum of one year experience working in a group setting with young children.
Must meet DCFS requirements for an Early Childhood Teacher.
Computer SkillsProficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet and email applications.
Physical DemandsOpen.
Salary- Maximum Salary or Hourly Rate: $22.44hr
- Minimum Salary or Hourly Rate: $20.50/hr
