Upper School Math Teacher - Latin School of Chicago

Latin School of Chicago seeks a creative and innovative Upper School Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about mathematics and connecting with and supporting students. Strong candidates will be well-versed in mathematical content Algebra 1 - Calculus, and have a demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and professionalism.

• Base pay range: $64,622.00/yr - $/yr
• Salary is $64,622 - $114,967 annually, based on education level and years of experience as outlined in our Faculty Scale.

• Teach 4 classes per semester.
• Serve as advisor to 8-10 students.
• Attend department meetings, division meetings, and all-school faculty/staff meetings.
• Develop and lead an experiential learning Project Week (second week of March).
• Work closely with department members, department chair, and division director to design lesson plans and curriculum that is aligned and responsive to student needs.
• Write written narratives two times per year.
• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Attend and supervise students during assemblies, gatherings, and other school functions.

• Coaching the Math Team.
• Sponsoring student clubs, activities, or coaching sports.
• Sponsoring student independent study projects or senior projects.
• Participating in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and other professional development opportunities.

• Well-versed in mathematical content from Algebra 1 to Calculus.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and professionalism.
