Overview
Chicago (In-Person | South Side & Northwest Side)
Light of Loving Kindness is seeking a Youth Program Facilitator to support our mindfulness-based youth development programs serving high school students, primarily from the Chicagoland area.
Facilitators will lead trauma-informed, engaging sessions that empower youth through self-love, self-awareness, confidence-building, leadership development, and emotional regulation skills. Youth programs at LOLK are part of a violence prevention effort aimed to help reduce risk factors among youth in violence-affected areas.

- Self-Love Bootcamp (holistic wellness, self-care, & community building program)
- Teen Mental Health First Aid (certification program)
- Trauma-informed and mindfulness-based practices
- Communication, active listening, and empathy
- Creative arts facilitation (movement, writing, art, music, etc.)
- Classroom or group behavior management
- Cultural responsiveness and inclusivity
- 1+ year experience in youth mentoring, self-esteem development, or creative arts
- Experience working with teens (school or community settings)
- Comfortable facilitating in-person sessions
- Passion for youth mental wellness and mindfulness
- Spanish or other language proficiency
- Experience working with BIPOC, low-income, or trauma-affected communities
12-week contract
Time CommitmentApproximately 12 hours per week, including training, class facilitation, and related program activities.
SchedulePrograms take place during weekday afternoons and evenings.
