Position Details

• Location: Downtown Chicago, IL 60602 ( school is on State Street)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Lunch: Paid lunch
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 16, 2027
• Compensation: $50–53+/hr on W-2, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students receiving special education services.
• Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals.
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff.
• Support an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Requirements

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement required.
• Previous school-based special education experience preferred.
