- Test and commission protective relays, control schemes and substation equipment on transmission and distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot, run start-ups and collect test data on HV equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and DC elementaries.
- Work independently on site, and report findings to customers and project leads.
- 3-5+ years in utility or substation relay testing and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with relay test sets and relay software (SEL, GE or similar).
- A bachelor's degree in EE or a related field, or equivalent experience. NETA certification is not required.
- Comfort with flexible hours, weekends and frequent driving.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Location: Remote, home-based in northern Illinois, eastern Wisconsin or Michigan's Upper Peninsula Travel: daily regional travel to utility sites, with occasional out-of-state work
