We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with a strong background in stormwater management and roadway design to join our team. This role involves hands-on design work, project coordination, and the preparation of engineering calculations and construction documents for infrastructure and land development projects.

The ideal candidate will bring experience with stormwater systems, grading, and transportation projects, and have familiarity with relevant agency standards—IDOT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Design stormwater management systems including detention ponds, culverts, and inlets, with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.
  • Perform roadway design, including horizontal and vertical alignments.
  • Prepare grading plans and coordinate with other disciplines on site layouts.
  • Review and develop construction documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, other engineers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support permitting processes and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and documentation.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • F.E. (Engineer-in-Training) certification or P.E. (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater management systems and roadway design.
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis.
  • Experience with grading and site development.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in civil design software (e.g., Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HY-8).

Preferred:

  • Experience working on IDOT (Illinois Department of Transportation) projects.
  • Familiarity with local and state permitting processes.
