This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.
Responsibilities- Develop mechanical physical layout drawings in a 3-D model as part of a multi‑disciplinary engineering and design team.
- Design mechanical systems, investigate, troubleshoot, and solve diverse mechanical design issues.
- Use 3D modeling software tools to generate mechanical design schematics.
- Coordinate detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated mechanical design model.
- Provide support to other designers and project team members to ensure a complete and timely design.
- Plan and execute mechanical design deliverables (general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping composites, pipe support drawings, equipment location drawings) independently or as part of a team.
- Assist senior designers and engineers in field walk‑downs and data gathering at client facilities.
- Guide others in drafting tools and mentor less experienced drafters and designers.

Essential Skills and Experience- Associate’s Degree in drafting, or high school diploma with equivalent technical experience.
- 6+ years of detailed physical design experience in mechanical general arrangements, piping systems, and supports.
- Proficiency with design software tools for executing 3D plant layout models.
- Experience reviewing mechanical equipment, including outlines and interface points, and coordinating associated deliverables.
- Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
- Proficiency with Micro Station.

$58,930.00 – $87,460.00 (base salary) with potential discretionary bonus.
