Protein Scientist

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning and execution of research projects
• Develop new downstream processes for proteins made from our expression host for a wide range of proteins
• Transfer processes to commercial manufacturing facilities
• Streamline bioprocesses to reduce the overall cost and improve efficiency of purification and characterization
• Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
• Create and document new internal lab processes

• An advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a relevant scientific field OR 5-10 years of industry experience with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field
• Experience designing, planning and executing experiments in a laboratory setting
• A demonstrated ability to design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret experiments
• The agility, curiosity, and drive to tackle projects varying from downstream purification to strain engineering and everything in between

• Experience in protein downstream processing, including converting benchtop processes to industrial processes
• Knowledge of analytical methods commonly used for protein purification
• Experience in bioprocess development and optimization in an industrial or biomanufacturing setting.
