A progressive metal band based in Chicago is seeking an experienced audio engineer to optimize and troubleshoot a live streaming setup. The role involves configuring Ableton, OBS, and You Tube on a Windows platform, integrating the SSL-18 interface and SSL-360 software, and ensuring a seamless workflow for high‑quality mixed audio delivery during live streams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in live audio engineering, particularly for music performances, and be able to work both remotely and on‑site in Chicago as needed.
The position requires immediate availability to get the system operational quickly.
- Troubleshoot and configure live streaming audio workflows using Ableton, OBS, and You Tube on Windows
- Integrate and optimize the SSL-18 interface and SSL-360 software for live performance streaming
- Ensure the stream receives a properly mixed audio signal from Ableton
- Collaborate with band members to understand performance requirements and deliver optimal sound quality
- Provide technical support and training for ongoing use of the setup
- Work in a hybrid format, with on‑site presence in Chicago as required
- Proven experience as an audio engineer, preferably with live streaming and music performance setups
- Advanced knowledge of Ableton Live, OBS Studio, and You Tube streaming workflows
- Proficiency with SSL-18 interface and SSL-360 software on Windows
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for audio routing and signal flow
- Ability to work both remotely and on‑site in Chicago
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Availability for immediate start and rapid project turnaround
