Senior Certification Engineer – ODA

Schedule:
This role is based at the CSC – Willis Tower in Chicago, IL, or Houston, TX, and follows a hybrid work schedule with three days per week in-office (subject to change).
- Support ODA STC and MRA certification activities, including certification plans, conformity plans, RFCs (Request for Compliance), and ODA procedures
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to aircraft cabin interior modifications, reliability, performance, and repairs
- Define maintenance program, configuration, and serviceability criteria to ensure safe and compliant operations
- Interpret and implement regulatory requirements and assess the impact of modifications or new equipment
- Develop technical solutions, project justifications, and cost/benefit analyses; manage projects through FAA ODA STC approval
- Provide on-site technical support for line and base maintenance operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners on cabin interiors, avionics, cabin systems, and IFE certification projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience supporting FAA ODA STC/MRA projects
- 2–4 years of experience in an engineering or comparable industry role
- Working knowledge of airline or OEM operations
- Knowledge of CFRs, airworthiness requirements, and aircraft systems
- Ability to interpret technical engineering and OEM documentation
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Experience managing ODA STC projects, including certification plans and audit support
- Experience with aircraft parts certification (TSO, PMA, STC, TC)
- ODA Unit Member (UM) or Authorized Representative (AR) designation
