Chicago | Environmental Compliance PM (AQ Focus) Base Pay Range

$90,000.00/yr - $/yr

Overview

We are seeking an experienced environmental compliance professional to lead air quality programs and ensure regulatory adherence across operations. This role will oversee compliance strategies, permitting, and reporting while serving as a key advisor on air-related environmental issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement air quality compliance programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage air permitting processes, including applications, renewals, and compliance tracking.
  • Monitor emissions data and ensure accurate reporting to regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify risks and maintain compliance.
  • Serve as primary liaison with regulatory agencies and represent the organization during inspections and negotiations.
  • Provide guidance to operational teams on best practices for air quality management.
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and assess impacts on business operations.
  • Prepare and deliver training on air quality compliance for staff.
  • Lead incident response and corrective action planning for air-related issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental compliance, with a strong focus on air quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of Clean Air Act regulations and state/local air permitting requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage complex compliance programs and interact with regulatory agencies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
