JOB PURPOSE
The Senior Project Delivery (SPDE) role manages the end‑to‑end delivery of site capital projects for Hellman’s Mayonnaise factory in Chicago. Projects span safety, quality, infrastructure, savings, and equipment improvements across process, packaging, utilities, and land/buildings. SPDE contributes to ongoing development and delivery of the site investment masterplan and provides technical support to day‑to‑day and reliability activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver projects with a focus on safety, product quality, timing, and cost.
- Lead a portion of the capital project portfolio on site.
- Manage improvement projects with independent decision making and constructive collaboration.
- Perform cost estimating, analyze options, build business cases, critique designs, and manage construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision.
- Lead standardization and development of the plant masterplan for packaging, process, grounds, and utilities.
- Act as a technical resource to the category engineering team for new products and re‑stages (innovation and renovation).
- Participate in cross‑plant improvement teams and develop strong partnership with manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering, and union workforce.
- Support root cause analysis for manufacturing and reliability teams.
- Execute projects by delivering value without compromising values, ensuring safety as the number one priority.
- BS in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
- 3+ years of engineering in FMCG or related industry or engineering consultancy environment.
- End‑to‑end project management/engineering, maintenance, or continuous improvement experience with food processing and/or utilities systems in manufacturing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to negotiate.
- First‑hand experience delivering major capital projects ($2+ million) within FMCG environment.
- 5+ years of project engineering in FMCG or related industry or engineering consultancy environment.
Pay range: $86,080 to $129,120. Position is bonus eligible and LTI eligible.
