The
** Product Design Engineer
** will be responsible for the research and development of transformers, contractors, and transfer switches.
** Responsibilities:
*** Research and Development of transformers, contractors, and transfer switches. 50%
* Evaluate existing Product lines and identify design modifications for Cost Reduction and/or Performance Improvement 30%
* Participate in the introduction of New Product designs into manufacture 15%
* Interface with Customers to define applications and product requirements and identify product design opportunities and solutions 5%

* About You:

*** Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred with a power background) or Mechanical Engineering
* 1-2 years of experience in electrical-mechanical design (designing transformers, contractors, relays – nice to have)
* Knowledge of third-party agency approval processes and relevant standards (UL, CSA, CCC, etc.)
* Project Management skills, working cross functionally
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills
* Familiarity with assembly manufacturing processes (winding coils, TIG welding – nice to have)
* Experience with CAD (Inventor or Solid Works)
* High attention to detail

** Salary Range:**$64,200 - $95,460
