The Senior Project Engineer’s responsibilities include assisting the Project Manager with managing commercial building construction projects, including:

• Assist the Project Manager with managing commercial building construction projects.
• Assist with bidding and attending job walks; analyze and competitively acquire subcontractor services and material purchases.
• Update and enforce project schedules; coordinate project meetings; keep project records and documents.
• Manage change orders, acquire building permits, process submittals and other necessary project documents.
• Compile documentation for operation and maintenance manuals; physically inspect projects to monitor progress and compliance with project standards.
• Work on and visit project work sites, clarify scope of work, and prepare cost estimates and proposals.
• Assist with the evaluation of projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings.
• Establish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules.
• Manage submittal review process.
• Assist the Project Manager to develop and implement strategies to self-perform and outsource various project aspects to achieve objectives of price, schedule, and quality.
• Conduct and document project progress meetings.
• Document and manage changes in work to secure the interests of the entire project team.
• Manage the project closeout process to assure timely completion.

• 4 year degree in construction management.
• Experience estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted work.
