About the RoleWater Resources Engineer I – part of our growing Water Resources group. You will work with municipal clients on projects of all sizes, focused on client needs and innovative solutions. Come start your career and join our team!
Responsibilities- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models of municipal storm sewer and sanitary collection systems.
- Assist with drainage studies and stormwater master plans.
- Analyze and design municipal stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, green infrastructure, etc.).
- Prepare plans and specifications for construction.
- Conduct field work related to flood inspections and/or construction observation.
- Handle permitting with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Assist with municipal permit review.
- 4‑year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in Water Resources engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation.
- Knowledge of the basic principles of hydrology and hydraulics.
- Ability to travel throughout the Chicago area (own transportation).
- Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
- E.I.T (Engineer in Training) license.
- Knowledge of H&H modeling (SWMM).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and ArcGIS.
- Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction.
The pay range for this role is $74,000 to $77,000, based on factors such as skill set, experience, and certifications.
