Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Manager to join our team! This role requires:
- Technical expertise in the NEPA process and one or more of its disciplines. Experience with the highway/bridge sector, specifically with Illinois DOT projects, is strongly preferred.
Organizational skills
to be responsible for leading and delivering environmental tasks/projects.
Commitment to working in a team environment and providing leadership to other staff.

What You'll Be Doing:
Manage and/or deliver NEPA documents for highway/bridge/rail projects in Illinois. Experience with Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements preferred.
Serve as the environmental lead on moderate sized projects and/or task/discipline lead on complex projects.
Provide technical guidance to team members within areas of expertise.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with other disciplines involved in projects (public involvement, roadway, bridge, drainage, construction).
Implement Parsons’ quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) system including reviewing work products and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
Actively participate in public involvement activities (meetings, presentations, etc.)
Support business development activities including project pursuits and preparation of letters of interest.
Leadership and growth opportunities abound for motivated individuals.
What Qualifications You'll Bring:
4-year degree in engineering, planning, environmental science, or related field
10 years or more of related work experience, with experience supporting Illinois DOT projects preferred
Relevant professional certifications (PE, AICP) are desirable, but not required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Previous consulting experience a plus
