Mechanical Engineer – Heat Transfer & Thermodynamics

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who can apply their knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to support our power plant projects. The role involves preparing calculations, specifications, and technical reports, conducting equipment sizing, optimization evaluations, and making selections. You will work closely with other Mechanical Engineers, contributing to system engineering tasks such as design, modification, and analysis of power plant mechanical systems.

Travel may be required to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs.

Hybrid Work Schedule

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in‑office work three days per week.

Qualifications
  • B.S. (BSME) or M.S. (MSME) from an ABET‑approved mechanical engineering program with a strong academic background and interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
  • 1+ years of experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.
  • 2+ years of experience in applying mechanical engineering principles and technology to project design.
  • 2 years of experience in design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, fabrication drawings, and models.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer in Training.
  • Strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
Valued But Not Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience in writing and providing support documentation for mechanical engineering calculations.

Compensation Range

$66,000.00 – $94,810.00

The total compensation package for eligible positions will include a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.
