Associate Category Engineer

Our client, in consumer packaged goods industry is seeking an Associate Category Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have team playing, organization and manufacturing experience which will align successfully in the organization.

• As part of the category engineering team, you will be working in the factory where famous mayonnaise is made! This role will be part of the team responsible for testing and qualifying any changes made to the product (Formulation and packaging).
• Think critically into how certain product changes can impact the factory and assist in evaluating necessary investments and development of the business case.
• Analyze risk and make critical decisions that will directly affect factory performance
• Assist in evaluating investments necessary to bring in various changes to the factory and in communicating with the broader team
• Collaborate with different functions of the business (Operations, WCM, R&D, Procurement, Planning) and align on different execution plans to ensure excellent project execution

• BA Degree or pursuing Undergraduate Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Controls/Automation Engineering (Open to adjacent degrees such as Chemistry, Biochem, etc.)
• Co-Op/Internship or Work Experience in FMCG/CPG (consumer packaged goods) required
• Food manufacturing or general manufacturing exp is a plus.
• Ideal candidate would have the ability to work well with others and strong interpersonal skills.
