Role Overview

As a Service Engineer, you will serve as the trusted technical expert our customers rely on when it matters most. You will travel to customer facilities—from boutique coffee roasters to large‑scale food processing plants—to install equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure our systems operate at peak performance. This is a hands‑on role, not a desk job. Each week brings new customers, new challenges, and new opportunities to make a meaningful impact.

Core Responsibilities
  • Install and commission MPE equipment at customer facilities nationwide
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process‑related issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system optimization
  • Deliver hands‑on training that empowers customers to operate and maintain equipment confidently
Customer Partnership
  • Serve as the technical face of MPE, building lasting relationships through professionalism and results
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities for improved performance
Documentation & Communication
  • Maintain detailed service reports and documentation
  • Coordinate scheduling and travel logistics efficiently
  • Share field insights with engineering and sales teams to drive continuous improvement
What Makes You Great for This Role Technical Foundation
  • Experience with processing equipment, ideally in food manufacturing environments
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • Comfort working with PLCs, motors, drives, and industrial control systems
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel domestically (50–50%); occasional trips to Canada–Mexico
