Role DescriptionThis position provides project management and technical leadership of environmental investigations and remediation projects. The individual should have experience within the Illinois SRP and/or LUST programs. This is a full-time, on-site position in Chicago, IL; it is not remote.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of environmental consulting experience.
- Professional certification as a P.E. or P.G., or the ability to obtain certification within one year if not currently certified.
- Experience performing conceptual and detailed remedial design work, including site and remediation investigation activities.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Advanced data evaluation and analytical skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Ability and willingness to support the technical growth of project/staff level professionals through hands-on interaction.
- Experience with Illinois SRP and LUST programs.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Manage projects including scheduling and coordination of project resources to meet client and organizational needs.
- Technical data review and report preparation.
- Coordinate and provide quality control for data collection and review of project results, including evaluating field data to determine future client needs and project requirements.
- Interpret data, develop, and finalize a report documenting findings and remediation recommendations for review.
This position occasionally involves field work and predominantly office work. Not remote. Field activities may include working at industrial facilities or during environmental site assessments, performing sample collection, recording parameters, and overseeing subcontractors. Candidates must be able to drive to project sites and work outdoors in varying terrains and weather conditions. Office work is primarily sedentary.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary range: $85,000 – $115,000 per year, based on qualifications and market conditions. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
