Full Time $50,000- $75,000 Annual
OverviewThe Mechanical Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in supporting engineering projects through technical drawing, prototype testing, and quality control. Working primarily within small teams of 1 to 3 technicians, this position involves interpreting blueprints, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safety compliance while collaborating closely with colleagues. Reporting directly to the Company President, the technician occasionally travels to manufacturing sites to facilitate hands-on testing and inspection.
Responsibilities- Create and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Conduct prototype testing and collect performance data
- Perform quality control checks using measurement and inspection tools
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with engineering team members to support project objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all activities
- Utilize CAD software for design and drafting tasks
- Occasionally travel to manufacturing sites as needed
- Entry-level experience in mechanical engineering technology
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Solid Works
- Strong skills in mechanical drafting and prototype development
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Experience using measurement and inspection tools
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills
- Proven ability to work well in a team environment
