Electrical Engineer Intern -Buildings; Summer

You will work with close guidance and supervision on tasks and smaller projects, and as a team member of a larger project under the guidance of a Senior Engineer/Designer. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include Revit design, calculations, and field work. Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken electrical engineering design type courses.

This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting local projects.

• Production of CADD drawings.
• Perform field work (evaluation of existing sites) as directed by senior engineer/designer.
• Participation in electrical design including building load calculations, ductwork and equipment layouts.
• Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff.

• Proficient in CADD with basic understanding of Revit and Auto Cad, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool.
• Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting.
• Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from senior engineers/designers.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

$23.47 - $34.50 Hourly

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
