Role Overview
As an Experienced FX Trader, you will work side by side with senior traders to capitalize on market opportunities. You should thrive in a fast‑paced environment, exhibit strong work ethic, competitive attitude, and a proven record of profitability in FX trading for at least 2 years. This position requires in‑person presence in our Chicago office located in River North, next to the Merchandise Mart.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage your own trading book focused on FX products.
- Collaborate across the desk to execute team goals while ensuring core risk standards are met.
- Analyze market trends, order flow, and technical patterns to identify trading opportunities.
- Develop, test, and refine trading strategies using historical data and real‑time market conditions.
- Monitor macroeconomic events, central bank policy shifts, and geopolitical developments to identify opportunities.
- Conduct research to develop new strategies and improve performance.
- Monitor material changes in risk and variance in PnL and proactively communicate changes to leadership.
- Grow your business through mentorship.
- 2+ years of verified risk‑adjusted profitability in FX markets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a competitive nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working autonomously and as a team player.
- Proven self‑starter with exceptional product knowledge, trading methodology, and market insight.
- Ability to manage and communicate risk in accordance with our policies and limits.
- Proficiency with trading platforms, execution algorithms, and market data analysis tools.
- Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt your trading style to changing market conditions.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
The approximate annual base compensation range for this position in Chicago, IL is $72,000 to $120,000. Total rewards include health benefits, 401(k) plan, PTO, parental leave, professional development, tuition reimbursement, and discretionary bonuses.
