AboutThis Role
As a Project Controls Specialist II, you will be responsible for the management of cost control tasks from project initiation to closeout while adhering to client financial reporting requirements. You will interface with multiple project stakeholders to gather input necessary for accurate reporting. You will develop, monitor, analyze, and report cost performance for multiple projects within the utility industry.
Key Responsibilities- Create initial cost forecasts through analysis of initial cost estimates and/or utilization of historical data.
- Support efforts to secure project funding and authorization.
- Interface with project stakeholders to obtain initial life of project cash flow.
- Review cost data inputs and document new and/or updated forecasted costs, actual costs, and accruals for client reports.
- Analyze project cost variances for causation and, if necessary, support recovery plan efforts.
- Communicate with management and project teams to elevate and promote dialogue with stakeholders to mitigate project issues.
- Lead and/or attend cost review meetings with internal Project Management and Client Management.
- Support with financial close of projects.
- Track project financial data for commitments, change orders, and expenditures and prepare standard, trending, forecasting, and ad hoc reports / charts.
- Coordinate and assemble various summary and detailed recurring reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
- Typically requires 8+ years related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools with an emphasis on the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Accrual Based Accounting methods.
$85,000-$140,000 annually
