Mortgage Finance Associate (1-6 yrs) – Prominent Am Law 50 Firm

About the Position: Our client, a prominent Am Law 50 firm based in Chicago, has an active need for a finance/real estate lawyer with mortgage finance experience to join as an associate in its Chicago office. This firm’s mortgage finance practice offers attorneys the opportunity to work across the full spectrum of mortgage products and structures with a world‑class team trusted by leading financial institutions, investors, and technology companies.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on the financing of residential, mortgage loans, commercial mortgage loans, single‑family rental properties, and rent‑to‑own properties
• Handle structured finance and related transactions involving mortgage loans and other residential real property‑related assets, including mortgage servicing rights, servicing advances, REO properties, single‑family‑related properties, home improvement loans and home equity products
• Represent borrowers and lenders in repurchase agreements and warehouse lending transactions

Required Qualifications:

• 1‑6 years of experience with mortgage loan and real property financing transactions, including mortgage origination, warehouse financing, and/or securitization relating to commercial and residential mortgage loans
• Strong academic credentials

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid flexibility)

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $235,000 to $365,000.
