Associate, Loan Operations

Overview

Associate, Loan Operations at Monroe Capital LLC – hybrid role, 2–3 days weekly from Chicago office.

• Review legal documents and extract relevant information.
• Set up and maintain assets for various funds in the Wall Street Office.
• Manage a portfolio of deals and post customer advances, payments, and loan contract continuances.
• Enter wires to settle with participants and funding partners while ensuring synchronization.
• Invoice clients and create system notifications of activity.
• Provide excellent customer service by keeping required parties apprised of loan activity.
• Assist with closing, funding, and booking of new deal transactions.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding loan balances, interest, fees, and expenses.
• Proactively identify loan performance concerns and communicate to portfolio management team.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and assist Accounting Department with reconciliation questions.
• Participate in special projects upon request.

• 1+ year of experience in banking/financial field.
• Strong work ethic and independent work capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interface with numerous constituents at various levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other loan systems.
• Ability to multi‑task and balance many responsibilities.
• Positive attitude, self‑starter, and conscientious work style.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Standard office duties: frequent computer use, occasional standing, walking, lifting (up to 20 lbs), reaching, typing, vision, hearing, speaking. No maximum duration beyond 70–80% sitting.
