The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for helping with the preparation of the loan documentation for new loans, renewals, and modifications for various loan types, and ensuring that all commercial loan documents are accurate and in accordance with the loan approval and federal regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Help prepare loan documentation for new loans, renewals, and modifications for various loan types, including Commercial Real Estate, Line of Credit, C&I, and Term Loans.
- Help ensure all commercial loan documents are accurate and in accordance with the loan approval guidelines and federal regulations.
- Assist in the reviews of all due diligence loan documents, establishing that all compliance requirements are met prior to releasing final loan documents.
- Assist in the communications with the lenders, admins, attorneys, title company personnel, and various other vendors to close every commercial loan type in a timely manner.
- Help review document checklist and waivers; work with Lenders and Admins to ensure that appropriate approvals are received prior to disbursing the loan.
- Help convey to Lenders and Divisional Assistants the need for key documents to fund/book transactions accurately, timely, and consistently.
- Help assess all pertinent borrower, property/collateral, and documentation information and verifications related to documenting commercial loan transactions.
- Assist in the analysis of entity documentation such as Articles of Incorporation, Operating Agreements, or By‑Laws to determine or validate the transaction’s identified signers.
- Assist in the interpretation and understanding of Credit Approvals, due diligence, title commitments, formation documents, etc.
- Consult management to resolve issues or to seek approval for exceptions or waivers.
- Provide problem resolution and service to internal customers.
- Help ensure document requests have proper approval authority.

Qualifications- Associate degree or equivalent.
- 2 years of banking experience, primarily commercial loan preparation, preferred.
- 2 years of Commercial related Laser Pro experience and proficient producer of quality business purpose documents in the Laser Pro system, preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial loan documentation, including knowledge of the UCC.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Strong knowledge of bank policy and Federal and State compliance regulations, including Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, Flood Regulation, CRA/HMDA.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid problem‑solving/decision‑making skills.
- Self‑starter with the ability to manage production, multiple tasks/projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of FIS, Laser Pro, FCM, and nCino, preferred.
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.
