Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A
National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team in Chicago, IL.
Position SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in driving the financial performance of the organization by implementing best practices for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The analyst reports to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities- Lead the development of annual budgets and forecasts; collaborate with various departments to gather inputs and ensure alignment with strategic plans.
- Prepare and present management reports for leadership on a monthly basis.
- Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs); provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Assist in the build‑out and training for the Net Suite Planning and Budgeting tool.
- Continuously improve budgeting/forecast processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in FP&A.
- Serve as a finance partner to various teams, providing insights and recommendations.
- Help implement a culture of financial accountability and transparency.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A or Corporate Finance.
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
- Experience with Net Suite Planning and Budgeting is a plus.
- Knowledge of data tools such as Power BI and Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
- Demonstrated self‑initiative, critical thinking, and ability to drive projects independently.
- Proven communication and outreach skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Salary: $105,000–$120,000. NAR provides comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance. The role operates on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office per week.
