Manager/Director, Valuation Services

A&M is known for analyzing and resolving complex situations which often require the application of sophisticated valuation techniques. Due to increasing demand for such analysis, A&M has invested globally in building a team of valuation experts to provide a full suite of valuation services in the areas of financial reporting and tax compliance, transaction opinions, complex financial instruments, alternative investments, structured finance, and litigation support.

As part of a select and highly skilled Financial & Tax Reporting Valuation team, you will assist in the valuation of a variety of personal property assets incl. manufacturing equipment, warehouse equipment, office furniture, fixtures, computer equipment & software, laboratory and test equipment, vehicles, tooling, jigs, molds, dies, leasehold improvements, and construction‑in‑progress. You will review company‑provided information such as financial statements, fixed‑asset records and other documentation to derive indications of value using market, cost, and income approaches, analyse market and industry data for financial models, and conduct site inspections.

Your analysis will inform client financial statements, board reporting, and tax filings, and will be reviewed by auditors and tax advisors for soundness and completeness.

• Lead the execution of valuation engagements for personal property, including on‑site inspections and virtual assessments to determine asset condition, remaining useful life, and market value.
• Lead due diligence calls and meetings with clients.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of associates and analysts.
• Organise and manage internal and client projects, including planning project workflows.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory requirements (if applicable) across all deliverables.
• Assist in developing narrative reports describing the methodologies used, key assumptions and rationale, and findings.
• Coordinate with other practice groups (e.g., business valuation, real‑estate, tax advisory) to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
• Support proposal development, scope definition, and pricing strategy for new business opportunities.

• 5‑7+ years of relevant valuation experience ideally in a Big Four or other consulting firm.
• Professional valuation credentials preferred (e.g., ASA, AM, RICS, CMEA) or progress toward certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel for on‑site inspections and client meetings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience with developing and reviewing presentations and reports using MS PowerPoint and Word.
• Effective project management and organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team‑oriented environment.
• Ambitious, results‑driven, self‑starter with a desire to thrive in a collaborative entrepreneurial culture.
