The PositionOur banking client in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Loan Operations Specialist. The candidate will handle real estate tax and insurance escrow payments, loan collateral system management, verifying daily loan system accuracy, daily reconciliations, regulatory reporting, processing loan payments, and customer inquiries.
Responsibilities include:- Loan boarding, payoffs, denials, modifications, subordinations, tickler updates, insurance reconciliations, and collateral vault maintenance.
- Loan boarding and quality control in the core system.
- Flood insurance compliance.
- Research and resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
- Document scanning, filing, and system maintenance.
- Verify data accuracy in the loan system.
- Review daily loan reconciliation processes.
- Process and service loan payments and disbursements.
- Process Construction Draws.
- Maintain loan system as needed.
- Assist with other Loan Operations functions.
- Process Paid Loan Files.
- Perform Home Mortgage Disclosure Act reporting.
- Maintain real estate tax escrow database and coordinate payments.
- Document operational procedures.
- Assist customers with inquiries.
- Support department initiatives and new product launches.
- Generate reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience include:
- At least five years of commercial loan operations experience.
- Experience with Fiserv loan systems is a plus, especially in loan origination, modification, disbursement, and tax escrow processing.
- Knowledge of customer information and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act reporting.
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills and good numerical aptitude.
