Responsibilities
  • This is an on‑site role. You must be able to commute to our office in Downtown Chicago.
  • Explore and research a vast variety of financial data sets, perform statistical analysis and apply mathematics/machine learning models to predict statistical market patterns.
  • Understand the financial assets and trading market mechanism, construct alpha signals, and test research ideas based on rigorous theoretical methods.
  • Perform back testing on investment strategies, pinpoint the assumptions behind each research process to ensure reliable conclusions.
  • Proactively explore and identify new alpha opportunities across various asset classes and market conditions.
  • Work with other quant team members, develop research infrastructures, including functional tools for data processing and a framework for research idea generation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in in‑depth data‑driven research.
  • Strong research and programming skills in Python.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from a top‑ranked university.
  • Experience and background that demonstrate strong analytical problem‑solving skills in statistical prediction problems.
  • Strong interest in developing systematic trading products in financial markets.
  • Knowledge of financial assets and financial market trading mechanisms.
  • Ability to communicate advanced concepts and complicated ideas in concise and logical ways.
