Here, you’ll be right at the heart of that mission, leading engagement teams, working directly with clients, mentoring and developing team members and building your personal brand as a leader in your field.
Your key responsibilitiesIt’s all about providing the knowledge our clients need to execute strategies and resolve complex issues. We’ll look to you to play significant roles in client engagement teams in the financial modeling area of our practice, in a wide variety of projects including:
- Model development and optimization
- Model validations and efficiency assessments
- Actuarial transformation
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Financial and regulatory reporting
You’ll support key actuarial modeling practice priorities, focusing on driving innovation, expanding business opportunities, and enhancing market outreach. You’ll collaborate with other practice leaders, both actuarial and non‐actuarial, for go‑to‑market and development of cross‑service offerings.
Skills and attributes for success- Consistently deliver quality client services and high‑quality work products within expected time frames and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
- Assist clients in tackling unique and complex business issues using your experience, innovative solution development, leadership and a strong EY support team.
- Cultivate and manage business development opportunities, understanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
- Foster an innovative and inclusive team‑oriented work environment. Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members in real time.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge, with the ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
- Possess good business acumen and remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
- Understand and communicate complex actuarial issues, stay informed of and apply professional standards and firm policies (e.g., Actuarial Standards of Practice).
- Develop a strong personal brand and enhance the EY brand by writing articles, participating in industry groups and speaking at seminars.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another related major
