Job SummaryCGS is seeking a highly skilled Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting services in support of fraud investigations involving potentially complex financial transactions and organizations attempting to evade detection. The role involves developing, coordinating, and drafting technical audit guidelines, proficiency in a variety of accounting systems, and excellent cross‑functional communication throughout investigations.

- Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
- Analyze, organize, and present large volumes of data (bank records, financial records, healthcare claims, tax records, correspondence, policies, other documentation) using common software.
- Assist with investigation planning, including quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify potential witnesses and relevant financial documents.
- Prepare concise and accurate reports of analysis results, including detailed charts, summaries, and schedules.
- Assist with conferences and interviews of representatives of financial institutions, Certified Public Accountants, and other potential witnesses.
- Utilize electronic databases to identify assets, documents, and other evidence.
- Analyze entity ability to pay penalties based on financial disclosures and asset/liability investigation.
- Perform ancillary investigation‑related services: develop guidelines, produce interim/final reports, secure storage and indexing of evidence, assist in compiling and analyzing documents, create charts/graphs for motions and trial, meet with federal agency personnel and state/local officials.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Four‑year undergraduate degree or higher in statistics/data analysis, finance, accounting, fraud examination, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination, or statistical/data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for background investigation.
- Experience in the requisite services (see Section
3). Preferred: experience reviewing medical records, medical billing procedures, using STARS/Business Objects; relevant experience with federal or state legal or law‑enforcement entities.
