Senior Fund Accountant – Private Equity at Oliver James

A boutique Private Equity firm is looking for a Fund Accountant to join an expanding team handling internal fund accounting. The role is based on a hybrid schedule in downtown Chicago, offering competitive compensation, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and retirement benefits.

• Preparation of financial statements processing investments and monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing and supporting the quarterly close process
• Assisting with internal financial audits
• Calculating capital calls and distributions
• Interacting with investment teams and preparing investor correspondence when needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
• Experience with Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, or Hedge Funds is necessary
• At least 2–6 years of experience in the financial services industry, fund administration, or public accounting firm
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
