Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join our client's team and ensure accurate and timely billing for a portfolio of clients and attorneys. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with client guidelines, supporting financial operations, and fostering strong internal and external relationships. This is a direct hire opportunity based in Chicago, IL or Washington, DC, offering a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite, including Wednesdays).

Compensation:
$80,000 - $95,000 annually

Work Schedule:
35-hour work week | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Billing Specialist:

• Oversee end-to-end billing processes for assigned clients and attorneys, ensuring compliance with firm and client standards.
• Prepare, review, and adjust pre-bills and invoices; submit through electronic billing platforms and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate billing rules, codes, and rate structures; monitor discounts and fee arrangements.
• Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to provide reporting, accruals, and support collections efforts.

Qualifications and Skills for the Senior Billing Specialist:

• Prior experience in legal billing and electronic billing systems required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills; familiarity with accounting principles.
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
