Job Description
Job Title: Part-Time Finance Support Specialist
Location: South Side of Chicago
Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)
About UsOur client is a faith-driven, community-focused organization dedicated to serving both their congregation and the broader community. They seek a detail-oriented and trustworthy Finance Support Specialist to assist in their financial operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in managing church funds.
Responsibilities- Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and reconcile accounts.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Assist in preparing budgets, financial statements, and reports for leadership and the congregation.
- Donations & Contributions: Track tithes, offerings, and other donations while ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure financial practices align with church policies and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (nonprofit or church experience preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books, Excel, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Understanding of church financial management and best practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
$35,000 annually, part-time, not remote.
