Program Overview:Performance Trust's Rotational Sales and Trading Internship Program offers a dynamic and immersive experience designed for ambitious students seeking to launch their careers in high finance. Over the course of the summer, interns will gain hands‑on exposure to real‑time market dynamics and rotate across different Sales and Trading teams within your assigned work location. Beyond technical training, interns benefit from mentorship, networking events, and career development workshops.
You will contribute to strategy development, risk analysis, and trade analysis while learning the tools and mindset that drive success in the trading world. The program is designed to challenge, inspire, and prepare participants for full‑time opportunities in Sales and Trading.
- Supporting traders and sales professionals with data collection, market research, and trade ideas/analysis.
- Structuring and analyzing bond cash flows by utilizing cash flow engines like Bloomberg, Intex and Yield Book
- Analyzing fixed income securities, bond cash flows, market data, and transaction opportunities
- Assisting with the evaluation of client balance sheet and investment objectives
- Learning how trading desks, sales, and other teams collaborate to deliver solutions for financial institutions
- Building and maintaining analytical tools, reports, and workflow enhancements in Excel and other systems
- Supporting projects related to new products, business development, technology, or process improvement
- Working with experienced professionals to understand risk, pricing, trade analysis, and post‑trade processes
- Presenting findings, project updates, or market observations to team members and leadership
- Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028
- Pursuing degrees in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets, fixed income, corporate finance, and/or the banking industry through coursework, extracurricular activities, internships, or independent study
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python or other programming language a plus
- A curious, quick-learning mindset and genuine interest in understanding how different parts of a financial services business operate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment while managing multiple priorities
- Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

The hourly pay range for this position is $30-35 per hour. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
