BMO Capital Markets is a leading, full-service financial services provider. We offer corporate and investment banking, treasury management, as well as research and advisory services to clients around the world.
The Associate supports the Private Credit Financing Asset Approval Team in reviewing proposed collateral assets, completing loan-level credit analysis, testing compliance with approved facility criteria, and maintaining accurate approval and monitoring records.
The role is designed to build foundational expertise in private credit underwriting, legal documentation, valuation, risk ratings, and portfolio monitoring. The Associate performs defined analytical work under the guidance of more senior team members and escalates exceptions, missing information, and material concerns for review.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical discipline, attention to detail, clear written communication, and the ability to execute multiple assignments accurately and on schedule. Success in the Associate role is demonstrated through increasingly independent execution of loan-level reviews, consistent identification of material issues, reliable documentation quality, and readiness to assume defined ownership of underwriting and portfolio work streams at the Associate level.
