Financial Analyst

Chicago, Illinois (Onsite)

Role Overview The Financial Reporting group provides internal and external clients with assistance related to annual audits and SEC filings for various investment company types. This role is responsible for the preparation and review of fund financial statements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness. This position will assist audit firms with processes and procedures for annual fund audits for both registered and non-registered funds.

Key Responsibilities Review staff preparation of fund financial statements and schedules of investments.

Coordinate and draft notes to financial statements for annual and semiannual shareholder reports.

Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of clients, including the organization of reporting cycles.

Assist with managing fund and audit or client cycle deadlines to meet deliverables.

Serve as a technical resource for staff regarding new investment products, financial statement preparation, and auditor questions.

Review financial statements during peak financial reporting periods.

Required Qualifications

Education:

A degree in Accounting is preferred.

Experience:

6 to 8+ years of recent experience in a Financial Reporting group within the asset management or financial services industry, or in Public Accounting within the same industries. 3+ years of supervisory or management experience is required.

Technical

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word. Detailed knowledge of financial statements and prior experience in their review. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including topics such as ASC 815 and 820.

Preferred Qualifications CPA designation is preferred.

Knowledge of Global Invest One, Bloomberg, and financial reporting systems is a plus.
